SSL certificates with domain validation (DV)
Domain validated SSL certificates are the right choice if only data encryption matters and proving the identity of the site operator is of minor concern. The validation procedure for those certificates only uses domain registration data of the corresponding domain name. There is no validation related to the identiy of the certificate owner.
Using SSL encryption, the certificate assures the confidentiality of information between your web server and the web browser of your customer.
